You can have this look at home in the form of a fine art print too. There are only 50 of them in the limited edition.
Each has a certificate of authenticity and is signed by the author. We believe that it will please everyone who appreciates the geometry of functionalist buildings as well as abstract photography.
Although the structure is understandable at first glance, it hides a lot of edges, nooks and crannies, creating unique geometric shapes.
Photographer Bara Déduchová managed to capture one of these.
“My love of beauty, architecture, food and music, and above all my sense of hedonism, brought me to Volman's villa. I am fascinated by light. Its variability in interiors, pouring and color transformations. Curves. Photography can tell about many aspects of reality. I like the simplicity, the purity of the image, the lines that guide your eyes, and yet leave room for imagination. Wandering around the villa, I found the same place each time in a different harmony of time. When I looked up towards the roof terrace, it was really little enough to make this photograph.”
Functionalist buildings stand out for their functionality, simplicity and ubiquitous raze. The authors of these iconic structures eschew decorative elements and ornaments like devil crosses. Clean lines, uniform materials, sharp edges and geometry breathe on us at every corner. Minimalism, functionality and airiness underline simple and timeless materials such as glass, steel, concrete. In addition, asymmetry also becomes a recognizable element of functionalist constructions.
