Educational programs for adults

Volman's villa is one of the important monuments of Czech modern architecture and today it functions as a house museum open to the public. We offer guided tours and educational programs for organized groups of cultural and senior clubs as well as listeners of Third Age Universities. In the authentic environment of the First Republic villa, we open up the themes of architecture, design and history of the 20th century. The programs take place in a dialogical format, at a calm pace and with respect for the participants.

Practical information for organizers

  • Programs for groups are usually implemented on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the morning, always by prior arrangement and ordering
  • Maximum size of one group: 20 people
    In the case of a larger group (for example, a bus tour), we solve the program with parallel tours for two groups at the same time.
  • We also adapt the program for visitors with limited mobility (possibility of sitting during the program, walking with a walker, available lift).
  • If you arrive by bus, we are able to organize your visit well, including parking.
  • The price of the program is determined individually according to the size of the group and the type of visit.

The building is a testament to the integration of Czechoslovakia into the current of the European avant-garde. But for me it is much more than that, it is an authentic work, full of artistry and expression. At the sight of a house with a clear concept and order, inside a relaxed composition of shapes, materials and colors that works with light as a fourth dimension. This offers a different and unique sense of space at any time of the day.
